Changes to bus routes in Gt Eccleston and Elswick due to road works.
From 09.30 on Monday 24th July to 15.30 on Sunday 13th August 2023.
Service 74 will proceed from Fleetwood to Gt Eccleston (Leckonby Street) then will divert via Chesham Street, Hall Lane, Watery Gate Lane and Lodge Lane serving Elswick then resuming route to Preston.
Service 78 will proceed from Wesham/St Annes to Elswick then will divert via Lodge Lane, Watery Gate Lane, Hall Lane and Chesham Street to serve Great Eccleston Square.
From 09.30 on Monday 14th August 2023 to 15.30 on Sunday 20th August 2023 or, until completion of the road works within this period.
During the road closure Service 74 will proceed from Fleetwood to Elswick (Copp Lane) then resume the route to Preston. Ash Road will not be served.
From 09.30 on Monday 21st August 2023 to 15.30 on 1st September 2023 or until completion of the road works within this period
During the road closure Service 74 will proceed from Fleetwood to Great Eccleston (B5269 High Street) then will divert via Chapel Street, Hall Lane, Watery Gate Lane and Preston Road B5269 to resume the route to Preston.
Return journey Reverse route/ Elswick will continue to be served by service 78.

A586 Fleetwood Road Little Eccleston
Safety Scheme for the A586 has been approved. The scheme will include,
- New signage with yellow backing boards to improve the visibility for road users.
- Installation of high performance centre line road markings with LED studs between Meales Lane and 200m west of Larbreck Hill Farm
- Installation of temporary signage between July and September 2023
- Installation of the mobile variable message signage between July and September 2023 for a period of 3 weeks to reinforce the danger to road users.
A586 Utility Pipes ( Blackpool Old Road-In Bloom)
The Chairman has made contact with the contractor to ensure the work does not affect the In Bloom appearance of the Village.
Meagles Lane
I visited the area with a highway representative on the 5th June 2023 to arrange a way forward for this area.
I have asked the Highways team and a member of the lead flood authority team to meet on Meagles Lane to understand the drainage systems in the area. This meeting of the two teams has not taken place as yet but I will chase it up.
The Flood management team have already issued letters to landlords requesting them to keep Thistleton brook clear.

Private works under S50 licence to be carried out by Energetics Design & Build to excavate and lay water mains and electric mains- works in footway, carriageway & verge to be carried out under multiway signals which are to be manually controlled 0700-1900hrs.
